Becoming a Brainspotting Consultant is a journey of mastering Phase 1 and Phase 2, growing in your embodiment of Brainspotting principles (anti-oppression, no assumptions, attunement, etc.), and learning to prepare others for certification. After completing the Brainspotting CIT program and being approved as a Brainspotting consultant, you will not only be able to prepare other Brainspotters for certification, you will be able to provide group and individual consultation, and request to share a specialty workshop.
The Brainspotting CIT program with Brooke Randolph, LMHC, LIMHP, LPC, LPCC-S will be relational, no assumptions, and anti-oppressive. It will be discussion-based and learning focused rather than a seminar or training. Discussion topics will include the Neuroexperiential Model, both a macro and micro overview of Brainspotting trainings, adult learning, teaching, and a variety of Brainspotting materials and supplemental materials. You will be both supported and challenged in your learning journey. The process will include monthly 2 hour meetings January-November 2027. (Depending on the group and individual, CIT graduation can occur as early as September 2027.) You will also be expected to review books, articles, videos, etc. between meetings.
To be eligible as a Consultant-In-Training:
- Be a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner for at least 1 year
- Provide a letter of reference/recommendation from your certifying consultant
- Has attended the most recently developed Phase 1 and Phase 2 trainings
- Has attended (live, not recorded) at least three (3) of the following four (4) trainings with David Grand:
- Phase 3,
- Phase 4,
- Phase 5,
- Masterclass
Costs associated with the Brainspotting CIT training process: $2000 for the training program, $250 for purchasing Phase 1 and 2 videos through Brainspotting Trainings LLC (if you do not already have them), $50 for the Application for Approval as a Brainspotting Consultant at completion of the training (paid to Brainspotting Trainings LLC), and potential additional costs for reading materials. Payment can be made in full or in 8 monthly $250 payments. Costs for videos and other materials are non-refundable. More about the general process can be found here
Live attendance at all scheduled sessions is required for this program. You may miss only one meeting time and will need to make up the meeting by watching the recording and following up on any assignments. Meeting dates will be Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays, depending on group preferences. Meetings will be during the day and schedule on Eastern time zone.
